Autumn Leaves Fundraiser

What a fantastic night! On Saturday 3rd May Catch Music held its inaugural fundraising dinner, called "Autumn Leaves”. Over a hundred people with an interest in music and community packed into the hall of St Luke’s Church in Mosman Park, and were treated to a scrumptious array of food, wine and candle-lit music.
The Callaway String Trio kicked off the night with some classical favourites. Then Robert Hofmann treated the crowd to a one-man cabaret of six songs from the 1930s and 40s, to the amusement and delight of all. Lastly, the Mayflower Jazz Quartet brought a nostalgic and warm close to the evening with some jazz standards on an Autumnal theme.

The food for the evening was delicious, provided by Mark Sayer of Sayer’s Food in Leederville, with help from Steve Moore. Not a single person went hungry and everyone ate as much as they possibly could! The wine was equally delicious, from Hainault Vineyard in the Bickley Valley.
Halfway through the evening, Tim Roberton gave a short presentation on Catch Music, asking everyone to spread the word and let as many people know about Catch Music as possible.
The night was a huge success. Plans are already underfoot for the 2009 Autumn Leaves dinner, so be wise and keep your diaries free!
