MUSIC FACILITATOR WANTED - Catch Music VICTORIA PARK

Join our team! We're seeking a singer-guitarist to lead our all-abilities session at Victoria Park.

Meetings are every Tuesday, 5:30pm - 7pm at the Vic Park Community Centre.

OVERVIEW

Catch Music is a not-for-profit organization running sessions for people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. The Music Facilitator is responsible for setting up an atmosphere in which all group members are comfortable to participate and express themselves. Our program runs along the school calendar.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Facilitating the music session in a friendly, warm, and engaging way.
  
• Selecting appropriate repertoire and managing song sheets. Repertoire consists of well-known pop/rock songs as well as originals written by members.
  
• Ensuring all participants are actively engaged in a meaningful way and are able to participate in the music making.
  
• Performing as part of Catch Music events and other community events. 

SKILLS AND QUALITIES

• Strong instrumental and singing skills
• A basic understanding of musical theory.
  
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of PA and live sound equipment.
• A genuine desire to see music being enjoyed by all members of the community regardless of age or ability.
